Spanish Single Status Certificate Apostille (Fe de Vida y Estado)

Spanish single-status and proof-of-life certificates apostilled and attested for marriage registration and pensions in the UAE.

Fe de Vida y Estado certificates prove marital status or that the holder is living, and they surface in UAE marriage registration and pension files. They are issued by the Registro Civil and are short-lived documents — most receiving bodies want one issued within the last three months. Once the apostilled document reaches us, the UAE side — attestation, any required translation and delivery — closes in 3-4 working days.

The UAE side — attestation, any required legal translation and delivery — closes in 3-4 working days from the moment the apostilled document is with us. If the Spanish apostille still needs to be obtained, that step runs on the Spanish authority's timetable and is quoted separately. Send a scan and we will tell you which applies before you commit to anything.

Most often marriage registration, where the receiving authority needs proof that neither party is already married, and pension or benefit files that require proof of life.

Most UAE receiving bodies want one issued within the last three months, so it should be ordered late in the assembly of a file rather than first.

Usually yes, by a UAE-licensed legal translator, and always after the apostille — a translation made beforehand will not carry the apostille stamp and has to be redone at full cost.
