CENOMAR Attestation
CENOMAR Attestation
A CENOMAR, officially known as a Certificate of No Marriage Record, is issued by the Philippine Statistics Authority to confirm that an individual has no registered marriage in the Philippines. This document is commonly required by UAE authorities for marriage registration in the UAE, certain visa categories, and personal status legal proceedings.
The CENOMAR must be a PSA-issued original bearing the official PSA seal and security features. Like all Philippine documents destined for UAE use, it must pass through DFA red ribbon authentication, UAE Embassy attestation, and final MOFA stamping. CENOMAR documents have a practical shelf life since they only confirm no-marriage status as of the date of issuance, so timely processing is important.
GreenAttest handles the complete attestation chain for CENOMAR documents, from obtaining a fresh PSA copy (if needed) through to final MOFA stamping and delivery to your UAE address. We ensure the document is current and properly formatted for UAE acceptance.

Insider Tips
Insider Tips
- Order your CENOMAR well in advance of your planned marriage registration date in the UAE. The attestation process takes at least 15 business days, and the UAE marriage registration authority will not accept an unattested CENOMAR.
- If you have been previously married and the marriage was annulled, ensure the annulment is registered with the PSA before ordering the CENOMAR. Otherwise, the old marriage may still appear in the records.
- Request the CENOMAR online through the PSA Serbilis system for the fastest issuance. Walk-in PSA outlets often have longer processing times.
Frequently Asked Questions
There is no strict expiry for DFA authentication, but UAE authorities typically prefer a CENOMAR issued within the past 6 months. If your CENOMAR is older, we recommend obtaining a fresh PSA copy to avoid issues with the receiving UAE authority.
CENOMAR is the PSA-issued confirmation that no marriage record exists. A Certificate of Singleness is issued by the Philippine Embassy or Consulate for Filipinos living abroad and serves a different purpose. For UAE attestation, the PSA-issued CENOMAR is the document that enters the DFA chain.
The complete process takes 15-20 business days. If you also need a fresh PSA copy, add 5-7 business days for PSA issuance. GreenAttest can arrange PSA ordering and attestation as a single service.
Yes. Filipino nationals planning to marry in the UAE must present an attested CENOMAR to the marriage registration authority. Without it, the marriage application cannot proceed.
