Marriage Certificate Authentication

Full authentication of Thai marriage certificates (Kor Ror 3) including Ministry of Interior verification, MFA legalization, and embassy attestation for UAE family visa applications.

Marriage Certificate Authentication processes your Thai marriage registration through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, UAE Embassy, and MOFA chain. GreenAttest handles all Thai marriage types including civil registrations, consular marriages, and religious ceremonies with civil registration.

Thai marriages must be registered at the local district office (Amphoe) to be legally recognized. The district office issues a marriage certificate (Kor Ror 3) that serves as the official document for attestation purposes. Religious ceremonies alone, without civil registration, do not produce a document that can be attested.

The marriage certificate follows the standard Thai attestation chain: Ministry of Foreign Affairs legalization, UAE Embassy attestation in Bangkok, and MOFA stamping in the UAE. If the certificate is in Thai only, a certified English translation must accompany it through the chain.

GreenAttest manages the complete process, including handling complex cases such as marriages between Thai and foreign nationals (which require specific documentation from both parties), marriages registered at Thai embassies abroad, and marriages where one or both parties have subsequently changed their name.

Questions & Answers

Frequently asked questions

No. Only the civil marriage registration from the district office (Kor Ror 3) is accepted for attestation. If you had a temple ceremony, the marriage must also be registered at the Amphoe. GreenAttest can advise on obtaining the civil registration if you only have a religious certificate.

These follow the same attestation chain, but the non-Thai spouse typically needs an affirmation of freedom to marry from their embassy in Bangkok before the Thai district office will register the marriage. GreenAttest assists with this prerequisite when needed.

The complete attestation takes 15-20 business days. If translation is needed, add 3-5 business days. GreenAttest coordinates all stages to minimize the total timeline.
